About The Position

CommuniCare Health Services is currently hiring a full time Accountant for a position located at our Corporate Office in Blue Ash, OH. Requirements

  • A bachelor degree in accounting and previous accounting experience, CPA preferred
  • Must be knowlegeable in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Must have the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
  • Must be able to deal tactfully with team members and managers
  • Excellent Excel skills are required
  • Superior organizational skills, strong task management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Also important are excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both internal and external customers and the ability to work in a team oriented environment.
  • A positive attitude, with a high degree of ethics and personal integrity, as well as confidentiality, are needed to be successful in this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare environment (long-term care) experience preferred.
  • Workday experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring timely month end close processing and financial statement review and distribution.
  • Reviews bi-weekly labor reports, analyzes variances, and distributes to management.
  • Performs monthly bank account reconciliations and various balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Prepares balance sheet account reconciliations and work papers for quarterly balance sheet reviews by accounting management.
  • Assists department management in preparation for various audits
  • Other accounting projects and functions as assigned.
