About The Position

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant with a strong focus on payroll to join our Accounting team in Tampa, FL. This role will support both general accounting and payroll-related financial activities, including journal entries, payroll reconciliations, payroll reporting, and analysis of payroll‑related general ledger accounts. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally with HR, Accounts Payable, and other business partners. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or finance and at least two years’ experience in financial accounting work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
  • Position requires a basic understanding of accounting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ADP payroll preferred.
  • Oracle, Blackline preferred or other G/L and Banking reconciliation software experience along with an understanding of consolidated financial statements for multiple entities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and record payroll journal entries for multiple entities.
  • Reconcile payroll-related accounts (e.g., wages, taxes, benefits) to the general ledger.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between payroll system data and general ledger balances.
  • Assist in payroll reporting for internal management, audits, and regulatory purposes.
  • Record journal entries and analyze general ledger activity.
  • Prepare and reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
