About The Position

This role is for an accounting professional who is detail-oriented, enjoys problem-solving, and is motivated to improve processes. The position offers an opportunity to build a long-term career and make an impact from the start. The Accountant will be responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of accounting operations, managing functions such as client invoicing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, fixed assets, and month-end close. The role involves partnering with various teams, learning from an experienced manager and a long-tenured teammate, and contributing to process improvements and AI/automation initiatives within the accounting workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • At least 1 year of experience in an accounting or finance role
  • Demonstrated ability to produce consistently accurate, high-quality work with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Intellectual curiosity with a genuine desire to continuously learn and improve
  • Comfortable learning and thoughtfully leveraging AI and automation tools to improve productivity, accuracy, and efficiency
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
  • Strong ownership mindset - you take pride in your work, follow through on commitments, and proactively identify issues before they become problems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to perform V lookups, create and work with pivot tables and macros

Responsibilities

  • Participate in monthly client invoicing
  • Maintain highly accurate revenue schedules and complex spreadsheets supporting revenue allocation across multiple services
  • Ensure the proper accounting and reporting of employees’ billable hours through our billing system
  • Process accounts payable and maintain vendor accounts
  • Ensure receivables are collected promptly while maintaining exceptional accuracy in customer account records
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  • Serve as the company’s Concur expense software administrator and audit employee expense reports
  • Maintain company’s fixed assets schedules by classifying fixed assets, calculating depreciation, recording disposals and completing property tax return
  • Prepare sales and use tax returns based on reporting requirements
  • Support timely, accurate monthly and year-end accounting close cycles
  • Leverage AI and automation tools to improve efficiency and identify opportunities to enhance productivity while maintaining the high level of accuracy and judgment required for sound accounting practices
  • Complete ad hoc analyses and other duties as assigned by the Senior Controller
