This position reports to Business Unit Controller and will work in Elkhart, Indiana. As an Accountant in the Finance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity, operational efficiency, and overall performance of the business. Serving as a trusted partner to finance and operational leaders, you will lead financial reporting, cost accounting, forecasting, and close activities while delivering actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance profitability, efficiency, and business results in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Lead plant-level financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting activities.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including the general ledger.
Deliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial close activities.
Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Analyze financial results, variances, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Prepare special financial analyses and reports for management as requested.
Ensure consistency, transparency, and accuracy in financial reporting.
Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and standard costing processes.
Monitor manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvements.
Partner with operations leadership to drive productivity and profitability initiatives.
Support capital expenditure planning and return-on-investment (ROI) analyses.
Maintain Fixed Asset Register and annual FA inventory.
Provide proactive financial guidance to support decision-making and improve plant performance.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, IFRS, and internal control requirements.
Review and oversee employee expense and corporate credit card reporting.
Support international accounts payable processing as required.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational and financial objectives.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reporting efficiency, process optimization, and cost management.
Perform ad-hoc duties as required.
