About The Position

A leading digital streaming network seeks an Accountant . The successful candidate will be responsible for all accounting functions related to GCD-Content Licensing contracts.

Requirements

3-6 years of experience in a similar role.
BA/BS Degree in Finance/Accounting.
Proficiency with MS Office (specifically Excel and Word.

Nice To Haves

CPA is preferred.
Experience in the entertainment industry, studio accounting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Analysis and report of GCD license agreements (interpret and implement license fee calculations and payment terms per contractual terms)
Complete financial month-end/quarter-end close process, including revenue recognition and Trial Balance reconciliations
Analyze and explain Foreign Exchange variances on a monthly basis
Analysis of actual performance versus Forecast/ Plan
Perform quarterly Bad Debt Analysis
Perform Clearing Account/BITIN Cash reconciliations every month.
GAAP/Statutory Audit Support: Internal Audit (Compliance)/External (PWC/EY)
Ensure SOX and all other key controls are adhered to and supported every month.
Review of new contracts and change orders within the system(s) to ensure accuracy of financial information entered by Deal Management.
Review of accounting transactions created by the system to ensure accuracy of financial data being reported each month.
Revenue Review and Analysis. Stagger. Renewal (Back-to-Back) License Fees Cash in Advance.
Entitlements: Journal entry, reconciliation, and reporting.
Non-Theatrical (TDS): Reconciliation and reporting.
TREC Sub-System: Invoice creation, aging reconciliation, and reporting.
