About The Position

A key member of the leadership team reporting to the COO and is responsible for leading all accounting activities and supporting the company's finance activities.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • 3+ years of Controller experience (equivalent experience as Assistant Controller at medium to large enterprise may also be considered)
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Significant experience with QuickBooks.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • FP&A experience preferred but not required.
  • CPA and public accounting experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of reporting and operational accounting for the Company.
  • Maintain the general ledger and the Company’s financial books and records.
  • Identify, implement, and oversee the execution of necessary financial processes, policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance.
  • Organize and drive all closing/consolidation processes, including monthly account reconciliations.
  • Oversees AP and AR functions.
  • Serve as the primary interface with an external audit firm in the Company’s annual financial audit.
  • Optimize operational accounting processes by leveraging internal business applications to automate and streamline high volume of recurring revenue and other transactions within a controlled, scalable environment.
  • Drive full systems implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement to maximize efficiencies and scalability across accounting functions.
  • Supports Human Resources in the administration and execution of payroll by coordinating the calculation and verification of all variable and discretionary pay components inherent in Sales commissions, external commissions, Senior Management and year-end compensation.
  • Works with management on budgeting and forecasting.
  • Work with the Leadership Team and all levels of functional management to create an environment conducive to a service-oriented culture and continuous improvement.
