The candidate will also be involved in various projects as assigned and assisting with continuous process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Up to three years of accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of accounting concepts, GAAP and internal control (SOX) compliance
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and complete work timely and accurately
  • Ability to identify improvement opportunities within processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners through effective communication
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • CPA preferred
  • Public accounting experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepares general ledger entries
  • Maintains records and files
  • Prepares reconciliations of accounts; researches and interprets data for reconciling items
  • Develops understanding of each account assigned to identify issues or unusual activity
  • Gathers information from the general ledger, financial systems and other department reports to prepare reports to be distributed within and outside of accounting
  • Analyzes information by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information
  • Adheres to internal controls within applicable accounting processes
  • Project work as assigned
