About The Position
Primetals Technologies USA, LLC is hiring an Accountant at its Axis, Alabama facility. The position reports to the Accounting Manager and supports accounting operations, including job setup, accounts payable, contract billing, month-end close, financial statement preparation, job costing, and timesheet review. The role also handles other administrative and accounting projects as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Familiarity with accounting processes, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Up to 2 years of financial experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work on many different projects at one time.
- Excellent Microsoft Office experience.
Nice To Haves
- SAP experience.
Responsibilities
- Set up new jobs in SAP and create job folders.
- Assist with Accounts Payable in SAP.
- Administer contract billing in SAP.
- Assist with the month-end close process.
- Assist the Accounting Manager in creating timely and accurate financial statements.
- Understand job costing reports from SAP.
- Review bi-weekly hourly timesheets in UKG (Kronos).
- Complete other administrative and accounting projects as needed.
