Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance or Business
  • At least two years’ experience in accounting or a related field
  • Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Self-motivated individual with strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong attention to detail and flexibility
  • Recognize the need for follow-thru and follow-up
  • Ability to work within specified timeframe and meet deadlines
  • Recognize and maintain confidentiality of work materials as appropriate
  • Highly skilled and proficient in Microsoft Excel required

Responsibilities

  • Refine day-to-day accounting processes by preparing for audits, reconciliations, general accounting, and balancing the ledger.
  • Maintain a high level of production while consistently producing accurate output.
  • Assist the department manager in reconciling and preparing supporting schedules for month-end close.
  • Prepare AR reconciliations.
  • Reconcile monthly bank statements.
  • Reconcile various general ledger accounts.
  • Cross-train on critical duties to provide backup to the Manager of Accounting.
  • Budget and forecast.
  • Prepare financial information requests.
  • Update and develop various schedules as necessary during the year-end auditing period.
  • Assist with additional accounting-related functions as needed.
