About The Position

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Global R2R Operations General Ledger Controllership team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Ubandale, Iowa. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. The Global R2R Operations General Ledger Controllership team is responsible for general ledger transactional accounting and financial reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related fields.
• 5+ years of accounting related experience
• Ability to drive consistent execution and strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with both stakeholders and colleagues in a fast-moving professional team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications including advanced Excel knowledge.
• Ability to manage your work efficiently.
• Strong financial and analytical skills
• Meticulous attention to detail

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in an accounting hub hybrid environment.
• Communication experience with colleagues in global locations.
• The ability to manage complex business process issues, resolving conflicts as well as complex problems and ensure on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Prepare, review and/or approve journal entries
• Provide guidance and/or training to less experienced level of accountants
• Assist in the development of process efficiencies
• Assist in the monthly/quarterly reporting requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned
