This position will support our Trachte facility in Madison, WI. As a part of nVent, Trachte is a leading manufacturer of highly engineered metal buildings for industrial and commercial applications. Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, Accounting preferred.
  • At least 2+ years of accounting experience preferred (open to strong early-career candidates).
  • Experience with Epicor, or similar ERP (Oracle, JDE, SAP, etc.) operating software packages or the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products (Excel skills especially valued).
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • The ability to work and interact with various departments throughout the organization.
  • The capability to work with and apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Flexibility regarding overtime during periods of peak activity such as month-end close.
  • Excellent teamwork, self-starting qualities, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with OneStream is a plus.
  • CPA or CMA preferred but not required, or interest in pursuing professional certification.
  • Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in researching and analyzing general ledger account variances to help us build a comprehensive understanding of financial drivers and trends.
  • Develop and maintain recurring journal entries, ensuring they strictly align with our established procedures.
  • Prepare assigned month-end account reconciliations accurately and timely, providing proactive analysis and support to the finance team during monthly close and reporting cycles.
  • Maintain Sarbanes-Oxley documentation and support internal control compliance efforts.
  • Partner with senior team members to provide requested internal and external audit documentation is crucial.
  • Prepare ad hoc data requests and project work to support business and reporting needs.
  • Back up others as needed in our primary accounting center environment ensures timely and accurate completion of workloads, giving you broad exposure to multiple accounting processes.
