About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant I to join our Accounting team on a temporary basis. This position will provide critical support during a departmental transition by processing high-volume transactions and assisting with key accounting functions. The successful candidate will help ensure timely and accurate processing of inventory and vendor-related transactions while supporting month-end close activities.

Requirements

Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
Entry-level accounting experience with at least one year of relevant accounting, finance, or bookkeeping experience preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is preferred.

Responsibilities

Process a high volume of inventory transactions, including transfers, write-offs, and corrections.
Assist with month-end close activities by running, reviewing, and distributing Gross Margin and Contribution Margin reports.
Review and create new vendor records in Microsoft Dynamics GP for Accounts Payable.
Maintain accurate vendor master data and supporting documentation.
Communicate with internal departments regarding vendor setup requests and the status of vendor records.
Ensure transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
