About The Position

The Accountant is responsible for ensuring timely month end close processing and financial statement review and distribution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Must have the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
• Excellent Excel skills are required
• Superior organizational skills, strong task management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both internal and external customers
• Ability to work in a team oriented environment
• A positive attitude, with a high degree of ethics and personal integrity, as well as confidentiality
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
• Teamwork, flexibility needed to fulfill job responsibilities, adapting to changes in work environment and accepting supervisory feedback

Nice To Haves

• 3-5 years of accounting experience preferred
• Healthcare accounting experience preferred
• Experience with Workday preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensuring timely month end close processing and financial statement review and distribution
• Reviews bi-weekly labor reports, analyzes variances, and distributes to management
• Performs monthly bank account reconciliations and various balance sheet account reconciliations
• Prepares balance sheet account reconciliations and work papers for quarterly balance sheet reviews by accounting management
• Assists department management in preparation for various audits
• Other accounting projects and functions as assigned
• Other duties as assigned
