MassDEP seeks applicants for the position of Accountant V within the Bureau of Water Resources, Division of Water Investment (DWI). The division is charged with implementing the Clean Water and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) program which plays a vital role in addressing longstanding environmental and public health challenges in Massachusetts. Since 1989, the SRF has been supporting communities in delivering capital projects that protect ground and surface water resources, ensure safe drinking water, and foster resilient communities. The Accountant V provides critical accounting support to the SRF team, which is responsible for overseeing project programming and administration. Specifically, this position will perform professional accounting and auditing services for wastewater and drinking water State Revolving Fund projects and loans. The Accountant is allowed reasonable latitude for independent judgment regarding these activities. The position is based in MassDEP’s Boston Office and is eligible for a Hybrid Work Schedule.
