About The Position

Pacific Facility Solutions is seeking an experienced finance professional to join our incredible Bellingham, WA team and take charge of our vital accounting, bookkeeping, and financial processes. If you're an analytical problem solver committed to being prompt and precise, consider applying to become our full-time Accountant - Senior Bookkeeper! Our Accountant - Senior Bookkeeper is pivotal to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial reporting and various finance operations. You're responsible for managing a wide array of essential accounting and bookkeeping functions, including payroll, budgeting, internal audits, tax filing, profit-and-loss statements, and accounts receivable and payable. You also strive to enhance and streamline processes by evaluating existing accounting systems and implementing strategies for improvement. Highly accurate and detail-oriented, you compile and analyze account information to prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries. You document transactions, gather financial status documents, and use this information to make informed accounting recommendations. Following GAAP principles, you audit documents, manage timely payroll processing, reconcile discrepancies, and lead month- and year-end closing processes. You maintain our financial security, support regulatory compliance, and ensure confidentiality. Tackling special projects and other finance duties as assigned, your hard work is a critical driver in our continued success and future growth!

Requirements

  • 6+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • 3+ years of experience using QuickBooks and Microsoft 365 applications
  • Experience with bookkeeping and tracking financial transactions
  • Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and scheduling abilities
  • Commitment to acting with integrity and following ethical practices
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening test.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field would be preferred.
  • Applicants with an associate degree and equivalent work experience may be considered.
