About The Position

Hollywood Park is seeking a self-motivated Accountant for our real estate team to help us build and scale our real estate accounting and finance operations. The ideal candidate demonstrates a can-do attitude, strong financial acumen, and a passion for real estate development. The person should have a team player attitude and demonstrate a flexible and adaptable work style that responds quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines to help us scale, grow and build something great!

Requirements

• Approximately 0-3 years of combined accounting and finance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and procedures.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to interface with management and professionally communicate with outside stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• Public accounting experience is a plus.
• CPA track is a plus.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to high standards and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Record journal entries (month-end closing entries, cash, accruals, prepaids, etc), review GL’s to ensure accuracy and prepare account reconciliations.
• Assist with ALL financial processes for a portfolio of office, retail, residential, and other real estate development projects, including monthly close, financial reporting, budget to actual reports, tax reporting, and ad-hoc reporting as needed.
• Self-starter that identifies and executes improvements in our tools, reporting, and processes.
• Analytically strong, detail oriented, with good organizational skills.
• Work with broader accounting and Hollywood Park team to understand operations and key financial and operational drivers.
