About The Position

As an Accountant Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial information by maintaining the general ledger, reconciling accounts, managing accruals, supporting tax compliance, and ensuring timely reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior-level role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
  • Proficient with ERP systems (Syteline experience is a plus).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with shared services or corporate accounting environments.
  • Experience with Lease Accounting (ASC 842).
  • Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review A/P Payments for alignment with the Corporate IT AP Matrix.
  • Review and maintain the Computer Lease Schedules for company-wide copiers.
  • Record, reconcile, manage, and forecast Prepaid activity for three separate companies, including Prepaid Software.
  • Manage all copier lease agreements across the organization, including coordination with external vendors for new leases, renewals, equipment installations, and pickups; and oversee resolution of billing issues.
  • Reconcile, analyze, and forecast lease accounting activities, ensuring compliance with ASC 842 and corporate policies.
  • Actual vs Budget Analysis, including forecasting.
  • Assist with the semi-annual true up process.
  • Prepare and submit all tax-related packages, including: Personal Property Tax by location, FIN 48 Survey – Nexus Questionnaire, Year-End and Annual Tax Packages.
  • Conduct and document Sarbanes-Oxley self-assessment testing for key financial reporting controls, including walkthroughs, control design evaluations, and operating effectiveness testing; semi-annual.
  • Participate in the annual budget process.
  • Support YE processes, including: Support internal reporting requirements, including Flux Analysis.
  • Assist with audit requirements and schedules.
  • Actively participate in the annual budget process, monthly forecast submissions, annual true-up efforts, SOX Compliance, and DCAA submissions.
