This position is part of the Revenue Section and is responsible for daily operations including preparing revenue receipts for deposit, ensuring adequate backup accompanies payments, coding deposits for FLAIR, preparing FLAIR scripts for upload, monitoring refund requests, and processing refund requests. Other duties include assisting in monthly reconciliation, running and posting prior month-end FLAIR RDS reports, communicating with the supervisor, serving as backup support, responding to inquiries regarding revenue issues, and performing other related duties.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent and two (2) years of bookkeeping, accounting, or administrative support experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university can substitute for the required experience.
  • Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal history check (fingerprint-based) in accordance with Chapter 435, Florida Statutes.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares Revenue receipts (payments) for deposit into the State Concentration account (Wells Fargo)
  • Ensures adequate backup accompanies the payments to code to FLAIR appropriately.
  • Ensures all checks/money order and cash are deposited.
  • Codes deposits for FLAIR
  • Prepares FLAIR script for upload to FLAIR/PALM.
  • Monitors Refund Approval Section in RMS and Revenue email inbox for refund requests.
  • Processes Refund Requests
  • Assists in the monthly reconciliation.
  • Runs prior month end FLAIR RDS reports and posts to SharePoint.
  • Clearly communicate with Supervisor regarding the status of assigned duties.
  • Serves as back-up as needed to support FBO.
  • Responds to the public, auditors, and Commission employees regarding various revenue issues.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
