Responsibilities

Plans and executes the development, organization, preparation, and updating of complex financial statements, journals, accounts, ledgers, and reports within an automated financial system.
Analyzes financial reports, data, and records, identifies discrepancies, and recommends solutions.
Monitors automated financial systems and develops/documents controls for system reliability and data integrity.
Audits reconciliations, journal entries, schedules, and reports.
Develops and manages complex work unit budgets, analyzing funding sources, operational needs, budget trends, and financial commitments.
Forecasts budget statuses and recommends corrective actions.
Researches, analyzes, and reconciles monthly financial records across departments to resolve discrepancies.
Creates and researches journal entries, monitors and reviews expenditures.
Processes and posts Visa documents and creates/submits purchase requisitions.
Compiles data for financial reports, budget submissions, and year-end reporting.
Ensures funds are spent in accordance with university and sponsor guidelines and policies.
