About The Position
Under minimal supervision, this position provides professional accounting support to the General Accounting and/or department related to the maintenance, processing and analysis of accounting records in a manner consistent with the Company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree, preferably in Accounting
- 3-5 Years Accounting experience preferred
- Experience with construction accounting and Viewpoint Vista required
- Advanced computer spreadsheet skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP
- Analytical skills
- Self-motivated team player
- Attention to detail and accuracy

Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accounting records that validate the accuracy of accounting information and ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Prepare, review, and post journal entries to support the monthly close process.
- Examine, analyze and interpret accounting records to support strategic decision making.
- Participate in cross training efforts for developmental purposes and departmental coverage.
- Prepare selected balance sheet reconciliations and analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Perform special projects and additional assignments as directed that support the General Accounting function.
- Participate in the review of the monthly financial package to ensure the accuracy of financial information and to assist in strategic decision making.
- Respond to inquiries made by upper management related to financial package to support strategic decision making.
- Review of various accounting reports to ensure the accuracy and clarity of information presented.
