About The Position

Accountant II Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI), the North American engineering and R&D hub for Hyundai Motor Group, is seeking a highly organized and detail-driven professional to support financial operations. This role will manage day-to-day activities including invoice approvals, expense reporting, and budget tracking, while partnering closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • BS in Accounting
  • 3-5+ years accounting related experience
  • Experience working in culturally diverse team environment
  • Proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Proficient self-management skills
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with SAP preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Review and perform first-level approval of purchase order invoices using 3-way matching
  • Communicate with requestors and team administrators regarding rejected invoices
  • Review employee travel expenses and resolve discrepancies with requestors
  • Update and maintain tax reports related to travel expenses
  • Train employees on travel policies and SAP travel expense submission processes, including annual in-person training
  • Create and maintain travel expense reports
  • Prepare monthly cash advance reports
  • Conduct monthly operational expense analysis and develop detailed budget utilization estimates
  • Collaborate with teams on spending plans for upcoming quarters
  • Prepare monthly operational expense forecasts and provide supporting justification to Accounting Manager
  • Prepare miscellaneous adjusting and reclassification journal entries
  • Support additional projects and tasks as assigned
  • Travel as needed (up to 5%)
