About The Position

Zachry Group is seeking a highly motivated Accountant II to perform asset accounting functions within the Fixed Asset Team. The role requires strong organization and the ability to manage multiple projects, meet month-end close deadlines, and support the smooth operation of asset accounting. Ongoing cooperation with other departments and internal and external stakeholders is essential.

The position works in a general office environment and requires the ability to function in a fast-paced setting. The listed responsibilities and qualifications describe the role’s fundamental scope, but are not an exhaustive list of duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Three to five years of experience in the accounting field.
• Proficient in researching on the internet.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Values ethics and professionalism and maintains confidentiality.
• Time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize work.

Nice To Haves

• Asset accounting experience.
• General knowledge of, or experience working in, the industrial construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Build rental rates for owned and augmented equipment.
• Create and update equipment rate lists for construction projects.
• Periodically audit equipment rates to confirm that approved rates are being billed.
• Prepare monthly equipment profit and loss reports.
• Assist in preparing quarterly excess equipment utilization reports.
• Record transactions and maintain an auditable accounting trail.
• Maintain consistent communication with the equipment operations team.
• Perform journal entries.
• Scan documents and file them in the shared drive.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
