About The Position

We are seeking an Accountant II to support payroll, month‑end close, and core accounting operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring GAAP‑compliant financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, improving close efficiency, and supporting scalable growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
  • Accounting experience, including payroll and month‑end close
  • Experience with payroll (multi‑state preferred)
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with internal controls
  • Intermediate Excel skills required (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams

Nice To Haves

  • ERP experience
  • Experience supporting intercompany accounting
  • Experience with WIP / POC accounting under GAAP
  • Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, complex formulas, reporting models)

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll, including multi‑state payroll, ensuring accurate and timely processing
  • Prepare payroll journal entries, reconciliations, and documentation in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Support payroll‑related compliance and audits
  • Prepare GAAP‑compliant month‑end close schedules and assist with close activities
  • Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Provide backup support for AR/AP functions
  • Review and troubleshoot work prepared by accounting staff
  • Assist with intercompany processes and cross‑functional accounting support
  • Contribute to process improvements, documentation, and system enhancements
  • Support ERP administration and testing of new accounting processes
