About The Position

This role is for an Accountant II in the Accounting department at Texas Health Resources. The department supports 31 entities and over 380 clinics, working closely with CFOs, CEOs, Facilities Development, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Real Estate groups to ensure the capital process follows GAAP and to keep the extended team informed. The goal is to help grow and support Texas Health Resources as the strongest regional healthcare system in North Texas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Accounting or related field
  • 2 Years Relevant work experience

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of Net Patient Service Revenue (NPSR) and patient accounts receivable valuation, supporting accurate financial reporting and analysis.
  • Utilizes data processing and analytics tools such as Kodiak RCA, Alteryx, and Power Query improving workflow efficiency and data reliability.
  • Contributes to trend and variance analysis by identifying fluctuations and supporting the evaluation of key drivers.

Responsibilities

  • Performs general ledger accounting including maintaining general ledger accounts; preparing and reviewing journal entries; and account reconciliations.
  • Researches and resolves discrepancies.
  • Participates in monthly and year-end close by gathering and analyzing data to accurately prepare and report financial information.
  • Conducts general budget to variance analysis.
  • Addresses relevant accounting questions from financial planning and financial operations.
  • Supports special requests and projects as directed by the leadership.
