About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team at The Wade - Lakeshore property in Chicago, Illinois. This role is responsible for ensuring all daily revenue transactions are reconciled and accounted for, auditing and posting AP invoices for payment processing, preparing checks with supporting documentation, and preparing and invoicing AR accounts. The ideal candidate is engaging, highly detailed, customer-focused, and possesses strong accounting and computer skills, particularly with Excel.

Requirements

College degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience preferred.
Extensive knowledge of a hotel Front Office system preferred.
Understanding of POS systems and how they maintain & process information desired.
Advanced computer skills, with a focus on accounting.
Knowledge of Excel, including but not limited to formulas, VLook-Ups, Pivot Tables and If/Then.

Responsibilities

Ensure that accurate and timely recording of daily outlet totals is recorded properly.
Input revenues daily into revenue reports and maintain appropriate support documentation.
Balance daily credit card postings and reconcile settlements.
Ensure proper distribution of daily reports in a timely manner and that all accounting reports are properly filed.
Notify outlets when discrepancies arise.
Compare POs to Invoices and enter into AP system for payment processing after obtaining management approvals.
Prepare checks with supporting invoices for signature.
Ensure that all AR supporting documentation is accurate.
Prepare and send AR invoices for approval.
Perform all activities in a professional manner and in accordance with company policies.
