Requirements

• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles for governmental accounting.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of GASB and/or FASB standards and statements.
• Proficiency in using Oracle ERP accounting systems.
• Proficiency in using Excel.
• Proficiency in using other current technology.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of MUNIS.
• Knowledge of Crystal Reports.
• Knowledge of BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional accounting/auditing work.
• Prepare analyses of reports and make recommendations regarding the analyses.
• Perform analysis of assigned funds/sub-funds.
• Perform complex reconciliations of various Oracle General ledger accounts.
• Prepare supporting work papers for adjusting journal entries.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer by working side-by-side with County staff.
