About The Position

This role is responsible for owning general ledger functions, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation. The Accountant 3 will review and analyze account balances to identify anomalies and ensure accuracy, manage the reconciliation and accuracy of all account balances, and prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. This position ensures financial reporting complies with company policies and accounting standards and supports month-end and year-end close processes. Additionally, the role assists with budget preparation and financial forecasting, performs variance analysis, monitors financial trends, and supports strategic planning. The Accountant 3 will oversee cash management processes, maintain and track fixed assets, conduct internal audits, coordinate with external auditors, and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies. The role also involves leading financial software projects, identifying automation opportunities, developing accounting procedures, and collaborating with other departments. The Accountant 3 will serve as a key contact for accounting questions, mentor team members, promote best practices, and build strong working relationships across the business.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Advanced proficiency with accounting systems and financial reporting tools
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles
  • Experience preparing financial statements, performing reconciliations and analyzing financial data
  • Experience supporting audits and process improvement initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
