About The Position

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) has an exciting opportunity for a professional Accountant 2 in the Asset Protection Office. In this role you will be responsible for providing oversight, direction, and accountability to the inventory control process at the Fine Wine and Good Spirit stores, Licensee Centers and E-commerce locations. Requirements

  • One year as an Accountant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Two years of professional accounting experience, and graduation from a four-year college or university, including or supplemented by fifteen credits in accounting; or Four years of bookkeeping experience and fifteen college credits in accounting may be substituted for college graduation.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Pass a background investigation.
  • No felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • A Master's degree in Accounting or a related field may be substituted for one year of general work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating physical inventory and cycle count procedures for all retail locations
  • Reconcile, identify, and document inventory discrepancies while maintaining compliance with inventory policy
  • Analyze and monitor inventory processes, ensuring compliance, and recommend changes to improve efficiency
  • Develop inventory reports and analyze store variances to support operational improvements
