About The Position

Ruder Finn is seeking an Account Supervisor to join their Healthcare Practice. This role involves driving integrated communications programs, including regulatory milestones, disease awareness, social and influencer initiatives, patient advocacy, and earned media. The Account Supervisor will collaborate with senior leadership and clients to execute programs, manage workstreams, timelines, and budgets, mentor junior staff, and ensure high-quality deliverables. This position is ideal for someone passionate about healthcare, energized by challenges, and eager to create impactful campaigns.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in public relations/communications with healthcare or pharmaceutical experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, biology, or a related field.
  • Understanding of product communications, patient advocacy, and data/regulatory processes (e.g., clinical trial phases, FDA approvals).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, and organizational skills.
  • Curiosity and comfort with integrating AI into communications and workflows.

Nice To Haves

  • Oncology experience is preferred.
  • Experience with MLR process, using systems such as Veeva, is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day activities and ensure client objectives and strategic vision are met, working with senior account leads.
  • Oversee multiple client projects from conception to completion, anticipating challenges, troubleshooting, proposing solutions, offering counsel, ensuring work quality, and adhering to deadlines and budgets.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the client's business, competitors, products, public opinion, market trends, influencers, and media trends, and their potential impact.
  • Contribute significantly to the research, planning, and development of strategic public relations campaigns.
  • Elevate problems to senior team members with proposed solutions and solicit their counsel when needed.
  • Lead the development of core materials, including media strategy, press releases, key message documents, social media content, and communications plans.
  • Ensure quality control of all communications and content.
  • Maintain high responsiveness and communicate clearly and timely with clients, supervisors, and account teams.
  • Adapt communication style to the audience and message.
  • Promote two-way communication within the team, inviting ideas and creativity from junior members and motivating collaboration.
  • Convey ideas clearly and confidently in client meetings and presentations.
  • Set a good example, bring new ideas, and embrace different ways of thinking.
  • Provide direct, complete, and actionable positive and constructive feedback.
  • Delegate effectively, setting clear expectations and deadlines.
  • Build program budgets, track finances, create SOWs, and support forecasting, ensuring resources align with client needs.
