About The Position

The Supervisor, Janitorial Services is responsible for overseeing daily cleaning operations, leading janitorial staff, ensuring quality standards are maintained, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position provides hands-on leadership, conducts inspections, coordinates staffing, and ensures all work is performed safely and in accordance with company and client expectations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in janitorial, facilities management, housekeeping, or related services.
Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
Experience managing employee schedules and labor productivity.
Knowledge of commercial cleaning equipment, chemicals, and industry best practices.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of janitorial team members.
Schedule, assign, and monitor work to ensure efficient operations.
Conduct routine inspections of facilities to verify quality standards and client requirements are met.
Train new employees on cleaning procedures, equipment operation, safety practices, and company policies.
Provide coaching, performance feedback, and corrective action when necessary.
Ensure adequate staffing coverage and assist with scheduling and timekeeping.
Respond promptly to client concerns and service requests.
Monitor inventory levels and order cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
Enforce safety regulations and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Complete operational reports, inspections, and documentation accurately and timely.
Assist with special cleaning projects, floor care, and emergency response situations.
Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and employee engagement.
