Account Strategist

Emberos•New York, NY
•$135,000 - $160,000•Remote

About The Position

emberos exists to bring predictive intelligence and clarity to a world where AI is already shaping decisions. We help brands understand how AI interprets and represents them at the moment of discovery and how that understanding compounds over time. By revealing emerging patterns before assumptions harden into belief, we give leaders foresight into what is taking shape and the ability to act early. This is not just monitoring. It's predictive intelligence designed for an AI-mediated world. As AI increasingly defines what people see, trust, and choose, emberos serves as a grounding force for truth by bringing clarity to how meaning forms today and how it evolves tomorrow. We're a small, fast-moving team building something foundational, and we're looking for people who want to shape what comes next.

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years in a client-facing strategic role (e.g., management consulting, brand or marketing strategy, agency account leadership, or enterprise customer success where accountable for outcomes rather than activity).
  • A record of growing accounts, with demonstrable revenue expansion or net revenue retention influenced.
  • Credibility with senior marketing leaders, with experience working directly with CMOs, brand leaders, or equivalent executives.
  • A strong written point of view, capable of turning signal, data, and complexity into a clear argument for senior executives.
  • Fluency, or the ability to become fluent quickly, in AI-driven discovery (AI search, LLMs, answer engines).
  • Comfort with data and technical teams, able to read dashboards, separate signal from noise, and translate insights into recommendations (coding not required).
  • Direct communication style, comfortable delivering necessary information, even when uncomfortable.
  • Commercial mindset, understanding that creating more value and expanding an account are often the same motion.
  • Generosity in sharing signal and patterns with product, engineering, and the rest of the team.
  • Ability to build trust with clients quickly and maintain it through difficult conversations.
  • Strategic thinking and accountability for results.
  • Ability to ask 'why' before 'what' and understand client objectives.
  • Ability to run their book of business proactively.
  • Ability to collaborate with experts and provide clear context to teams.
  • Ability to create structure where none exists and solve process gaps.
  • Comfort making decisions with incomplete information when the signal is strong enough.
  • Ability to translate across different audiences (technical to CMO, CMO to engineer).
  • Ability to move quickly without producing disposable work.
  • Focus on client value over account theater.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in film, entertainment, consumer, or another category where launches and release calendars shape brand strategy.
  • Experience at an early-stage company building processes.
  • Experience in programmatic advertising, agency, or SEO/geo.

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of brand clients and the strategy that turns emberos from a platform they use into an advantage they rely on.
  • Form the point of view, set the account strategy, decide where and when we deploy, and connect the signals we see to decisions the client should make next.
  • Maintain a rolling 90-day plan tied to the moments that matter: launches, release calendars, campaign windows, pipeline cycles, and shifts in the market.
  • Manage the client relationship after the sale, including kickoffs, weekly working sessions, quarterly reviews, executive briefings, and strategic questions that show up between meetings.
  • Determine what we deploy, when we deploy it, and why it matters. Build the rationale with the client, align the work internally, and make sure every intervention connects back to a larger strategic objective.
  • Identify opportunities for expansion and growth within client accounts, carrying a soft quota on net new ARR across the book.
  • Manage the client's perception of emberos, ensuring it reflects the company's judgment, responsiveness, and value.

  • Work closely with product, sales and engineering to shape solutions around real client needs.
