About The Position

NSK is a global manufacturer of ball and roller bearings, linear motion technology, automotive components and steering systems with both domestic and overseas manufacturing capabilities. NSK also offers a full range of services including reconditioning, ball screw repair, product integration, application engineering and predictive & preventative maintenance and reliability services. NSK's products and solutions are everywhere where things are in motion - even under the toughest conditions. NSK's high-precision rolling bearings are used in wind turbines and machine tools, linear components are found in production lines, while automotive components are installed in the vehicles of almost every well-known automaker. This position is responsible for an assigned group of customer accounts. The responsibilities include handling request for quotations, order maintenance, expediting orders, and forecasting. Has a good working knowledge of ABS, ASPACS and NWINS as well as other related systems. Is customer focused and interfaces with customers and various departments to meet customer requirements. Must be capable of working under limited supervision.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
2 to 4 years of position-related experience
Good working knowledge of ABS, ASPACS and NWINS as well as other related systems.
Customer focused and interfaces with customers and various departments to meet customer requirements.
Capable of working under limited supervision.
Basic technical knowledge of bearing and linear products as well as NSK tools, bearing heaters and other purchased products.
Able to interpret NSK nomenclature by using appropriate resources.

Responsibilities

Receives and manages incoming customer requests from assigned customers as well as cover for other inside sales representative's customers; responds to e-mails from customers in a timely manner.
Enters orders, monitors status of existing orders, expedites shipments and addresses any customer service or product issues.
Locates appropriate products either in the U.S., globally, or utilizes purchased products with modifications; collaborate with BCD, domestic plants, procurement and/or NSK Affiliates in other countries as necessary.
Demonstrates basic technical knowledge of bearing and linear products as well as NSK tools, bearing heaters and other purchased products. Able to interpret NSK nomenclature by using appropriate resources.
Receives and processes orders, which may include working with other departments to have stock released, to have global stock transferred, or to order product.
Actively monitors and addresses lack of supply issues on open orders, including weekly monitoring of stock allocations and daily examination of shipping reservations.
Occasionally accompanies salespersons on sales calls involving travel.
