About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Account Specialist II to support a fast-paced commercial insurance team. In this role, you will partner closely with Account Executives and Brokers to manage key account servicing activities, support client deliverables, and ensure operational excellence throughout the policy lifecycle. This position offers valuable exposure to commercial risk operations and the opportunity to work closely with industry professionals on complex client accounts.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of commercial insurance experience required.
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance operations, processes, and client servicing activities.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Insurance broker license required or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Experience importing/exporting data and working with spreadsheets.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
  • VLOOKUP or similar Excel functions preferred.
  • Experience working with agency management systems and document management platforms is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-motivated professional who can work independently with moderate guidance.
  • Team player who enjoys collaborating across departments and supporting client success.

Responsibilities

  • Support account servicing activities including renewals, endorsements, invoices, certificates of insurance, surplus lines filings, auto ID cards, premium allocations, and policy documentation.
  • Review and maintain accurate records within agency management systems and document management platforms.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and outsourced service partners to ensure timely, accurate completion of client deliverables.
  • Assist with pre-renewal account reviews and post-placement activities including policy summaries, schedules of insurance, and quality assurance reviews.
  • Respond to account servicing requests promptly while maintaining high levels of client service and attention to detail.
  • Troubleshoot account issues, assist colleagues with complex account functions, and mentor junior team members.
  • Participate in special projects, client meetings, and office initiatives as needed.
