Requirements

High school graduate required
Physician or hospital billing experience and/or training required
Knowledge of ICD_10 coding required
Knowledge of medical terminology required
Knowledge of third party billing and collections required
Knowledge of windows-based personal computers is required
Thorough knowledge of patient accounting required
Thorough knowledge of third party payer procedures required
Thorough knowledge of governmental regulations required
Thorough knowledge of managed care contracting required

Nice To Haves

BS or BA preferred
EPIC experience preferred
Experience with electronic claims editing software preferred

Responsibilities

Demonstrates effective utilization of the features of the telephone system in order to achieve greater productivity with appropriate collection practices and techniques.
Respond to inquiries on patient accounts in a customer satisfaction manner.
