About The Position

The Account Representative manages customer relationships with customers targeted for growth and is mentored by one or more Senior Sales Representatives. The position supports SEA Wire and Cable’s logistical supply business serving the military and commercial aerospace markets. It involves growing sales among assigned and new customers, developing detailed knowledge of the company’s products and relevant industry specifications, qualifying sales opportunities, preparing quotes, processing orders, and supporting customer service and order resolution.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to manage day-to-day activities and exercise independence and adaptability.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with personnel at all organizational levels.
• Ability to meet prioritized objectives and goals.
• Basic math skills.
• Comfort using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong PowerPoint presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

• College degree preferred.
• Experience in sales and/or program management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grow sales with the assigned customer base and with new customers.
• Learn SEA products and develop expertise in relevant aerospace, military, and other industry specifications.
• Perform daily telemarketing efforts to qualify sales opportunities.
• Evaluate sales opportunities, identify unrequested value-added opportunities, provide literature and samples, coordinate opportunities with partners, and determine quote importance.
• Respond to customer requests and communications regarding product availability.
• Prepare final customer quotes and obtain information from partners as needed.
• Follow up with customers to help capture business and adjust as needed to maximize wins.
• Enter orders for the order entry process.
• Monitor customer service levels, including on-time shipments, rejections, problem orders, and back orders, and resolve incomplete orders.
• Comply with federal laws and regulations applicable to the aerospace and military product industry.
• Maintain and handle SEA Wire and Cable, Inc.’s trade secret and proprietary information.
