About The Position

GEODIS is a global third-party logistics provider that helps move goods worldwide. The Account Representative - Air Import coordinates and executes shipments to ensure excellent customer service. The role communicates with customers, carriers, overseas agents, and vendors, and handles accounting processes such as price negotiations, on-time billing, rate calculations, price conversions, and profit and loss analysis, with a focus on avoiding demurrage.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalency.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the importation of goods, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of the movement of freight via ocean.
Knowledge of Government Agency requirements.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and execute shipments to ensure excellent customer service levels.
Maintain communication with customers, carriers, overseas agents, and vendors.
Handle accounting processes, including price negotiations, on-time billing, rate calculations, price conversions, and profit and loss analysis.
Maintain a zero-demurrage mindset.
