About The Position

This role focuses on account support, vehicle readiness, and learning auction processes and systems. There are three levels: Entry-level (I), Intermediate (II), and Advanced (Senior). The company is Cox Automotive, and the job family group is Vehicle Operations. This is an individual contributor role with no remote option, requiring the employee to work at a specified Cox location. The compensation is hourly, ranging from $20.00 to $30.00, with potential for additional compensation through commission and/or incentive programs. The role involves supporting vehicle sale preparation, monitoring reconditioning, performing audits, and partnering with internal teams to support client needs. The Senior role manages complex accounts, leads audits, coordinates redemptions, and advises junior team members.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • 2–3 years of related experience (for Specialist II)
  • 5+ years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years in the automotive industry (for Senior)
  • Prior vehicle reconditioning or auto body experience (for Senior)
  • Advanced knowledge of condition reports, inspections, and reconditioning standards (for Senior)
  • Must clear a pre-employment drug test (marijuana testing may not be administered pre-employment, but drug-free workplace policies apply)
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in automotive, logistics, or transportation environments
  • Basic auto body or reconditioning knowledge
  • Experience working directly with commercial or dealer clients

Responsibilities

  • Support vehicle sale preparation and lineup accuracy
  • Assist with monitoring reconditioning processes
  • Perform basic audits of condition reports and images
  • Partner with internal teams to support client needs
  • Manage assigned account activities and client communications
  • Review and approve vehicle repair and reconditioning recommendations
  • Coordinate vehicle movement and readiness across departments
  • Partner with sales teams to ensure a unified client experience
  • Manage complex client accounts and intricate SLAs
  • Lead audits of condition reports, imaging, and announcements
  • Coordinate redemptions and ensure compliance with PII policies
  • Serve as an advisor to less senior team members
