About The Position

As a key member of GFL’s Business Development team, you will be committed to enhancing our client relationships and growing our market share. You will be relied upon to source new business with prospective and existing clients and will instill confidence in our customers that they are dealing with the industry leader. This position will focus primarily on supporting and growing support for our customer base across our Waste & Waste Processing, Water Treatment, Vacuum Truck Services, Industrial Cleaning and Water Treatment services in the Lower Mainland of BC. Requirements

  • Highly Competitive mindset.
  • Strong consultative sales skills are an asset.
  • Proven business development experience in a competitive, demanding business sector.
  • Waste management industry experience is an asset, specifically to larger complex industrial sites requiring multiple industry services.
  • Passion for business excellence with exceptional follow through.
  • Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract.
  • Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate business plans and strategies to meet business development targets.
  • Seek out business development with new and existing clients.
  • Analyze customer needs and present solutions utilizing a thorough understanding of our diverse service offerings.
  • Always represent the company in a professional manner to ensure every opportunity is taken to promote the brand.
  • Ensure exemplary customer satisfaction and act as a liaison between customer and operational staff.
  • Provide market intelligence regarding competitors and pricing strategies.
