About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Account Manager to join our sales team. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Account Manager will be responsible for the effective management and growth of existing customers, and will work closely with Sales, Production/Operations, Business Intelligence, Technical Support, and Finance to ensure efficient and effective Sales activities.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and key stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of technical products and services, with the ability to quickly learn complex offerings.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborative team player with a strong customer-focused mindset.
  • Eligible to obtain Canadian and NATO security clearance.
  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • 1-2+ years of related experience in Sales/Account Management/Inside Sales of technical products.
  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce/MS Dynamics).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the Ocean Tech, Satellite, or Environmental sector considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships within the existing MetOcean customer base.
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities to build pipeline and drive revenue growth.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and prepare accurate quotations.
  • Prepare and submit RFP, RFQ, RFI responses and technical proposals.
  • Develop a strong understanding of MetOcean's products and solutions to effectively position them within customer accounts.
  • Build trusted customer relationships by serving as the primary point of contact for business and technical matters.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and long-term account success while supporting MetOcean's business objectives.
  • Attend industry trade shows, conferences, exhibitions, and customer events to strengthen relationships and identify new opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate customer and opportunity records in the CRM, following the MetOcean sales process.
  • Develop and maintain sales forecasts and account plans to support business planning and revenue targets.
  • Other duties as assigned.
