About The Position

We are seeking an Account Manager based in the North Texas/DFW market to serve as a key member of the Harmony Public Schools management team. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing commercial cleaning and facility support operations across multiple campuses, ensuring all contractual service commitments are met while delivering exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and financial performance. Supporting customers throughout the North Texas/DFW region, the Account Manager will provide direct oversight of daily operations, workforce planning, staffing, scheduling, quality assurance, training, and performance management for both internal teams and subcontracted service providers. This position will be accountable for maintaining high service standards, fostering strong client relationships, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and achieving operational, budgetary, and growth objectives within the assigned market. The Account Manager will work closely with campus leadership, district stakeholders, and company leadership to ensure customer satisfaction, resolve operational challenges, and identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and expand business partnerships. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in janitorial services, facilities management, environmental services, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-site operations, large teams, and subcontractor/vendor relationships.
  • Strong understanding of contract management, service level agreements, workforce planning, and operational budgeting.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior-level client stakeholders, school district leadership, vendors, and employees.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labor models, forecasting, and profitability.
  • Demonstrated success in business development, account growth, and client retention.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and operational reporting systems.
  • Ability to travel regularly between customer locations and regional offices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute long-term operational strategies and annual business plans that support growth, profitability, and client retention.
  • Provide overall leadership for daily operations, including service delivery, staffing, budgeting, quality control, and customer satisfaction across assigned accounts and regions.
  • Manage all expenses related to janitorial and facility support services, including labor, subcontractor costs, supplies, equipment, transportation, and operating expenses.
  • Direct and oversee subcontractor relationships, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, service level agreements (SLAs), company standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with subcontractors and implement corrective action plans when service deficiencies are identified.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels across all locations through a combination of direct labor and subcontractor resources.
  • Meet regularly with clients, school administrators, and facility leadership teams to assess satisfaction, address operational concerns, and identify opportunities to expand services.
  • Review operational, quality assurance, and staffing reports to proactively identify trends, risks, and service gaps.
  • Analyze business processes and operational practices to improve efficiency, service quality, workforce productivity, and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to evaluate regional performance, identify growth opportunities, and stay informed of industry and regulatory developments impacting operations.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of customer contracts and ensure all contractual commitments are delivered consistently and in compliance with agreed service standards.
  • Allocate labor, subcontractor resources, equipment, and supplies to support customer requirements while achieving productivity and financial objectives.
  • Lead regular operational reviews with management teams, supervisors, subcontractors, and clients to monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee recruiting, onboarding, training, development, and retention of field management, frontline staff, and subcontractor partners.
  • Establish accountability measures and performance expectations for supervisors, managers, and subcontracted service providers.
  • Support business development initiatives through client relationship management, proposal support, contract renewals, and participation in customer presentations.
  • Foster a culture of safety, compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
