About The Position

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for building the commercial & execution strategy to drive the growth of our Taste & Nutrition business in Ontario (mainly Toronto) and other provinces.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, business or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales within the food & beverage or supplements industry; experience in selling taste solutions is a significant asset.
  • Technical background or R&D experience highly preferred.
  • Good working knowledge of food science and how it relates to product development and commercialization.
  • Autonomous and entrepreneurial, with a desire to treat their accounts as their own business.
  • Willingness to travel on a weekly basis to the Toronto/Greater Toronto region. Availability to do overnights up to 25% to visit customers and Kerry offices/sites.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Collaborative working style.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and “close” new business opportunities with new and current customers through standard product, custom product and integrated solution selling.
  • Proactively defend current business and manage a large portfolio of diverse projects across Kerry functions in order to service key customers using Salesforce.
  • Comfortable working with a diverse portfolio including flavors and proactive health technologies for different market segments and channels.
  • Entrepreneurial with a sense of urgency and customer focus mindset.
  • Creativity, value proposition selling and excellent customer management skills are needed to continue, support and grow existing platforms and identify new categories where value-added products can be created.
  • Speak confidently about the manufacturing/supply chain process and about Kerry.
  • Develop strong strategic relationships within key customers and prospects (R&D, Procurement, and management) to architect customized and value-added product solutions. Foster counterpart relationships within Kerry as well.
  • Continue to support and grow existing platforms and identify new end user market where value-added solutions can be implemented.
  • Manage complex pricing models aligned with key customers’ expectations.
