Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in engineering, chemistry, business, or a related field).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in plastics distribution sales or a related industry.
  • Proven ability to prospect and acquire new customers, consistently achieving long-term sales growth.
  • Adept at using logic and reasoning to solve problems and identify alternative solutions.
  • Proficiency in CRM and ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% overnight, depending on the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a plan to exceed sales goals, including understanding potential customer targets and competitive advantages.
  • Build a strong sales funnel by continually prospecting, qualifying, and prioritizing prospects using CRM and other Nexeo tools.
  • Collaborate with pricing, operations, service, and legal teams to identify and present solutions for customers.
  • Develop relationships with internal teams and within the customer organization.
  • Leverage market knowledge and technical expertise to identify customer needs and influence their strategy.
  • Build a robust pipeline and drive growth by presenting the full value proposition, negotiating solutions, and managing the sales cycle with proactive administration.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
