Account Manager, Corporate Sector

samdesk Canada Inc.
Remote

About The Position

samdesk is looking for an Account Manager to own the ongoing success and growth of a portfolio of customer accounts. You will be the primary point of contact for customers after onboarding, responsible for actively growing revenue within your book of business through upselling and cross-selling. This role carries a revenue target, not just a retention target. You should be as comfortable identifying a new use case in an underused account. This is a remote position within Canada. While working from home will be your main base, expect regular onsite meetings with clients.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, customer success, or a related client-facing role, ideally in B2B SaaS.
  • Proven track record of not just retaining but growing revenue within an existing customer base through upselling and cross-selling.
  • Comfort running a consultative, needs-based sales conversation, including scoping, pricing, and negotiating expansion deals.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work with usage and account health data to build a business case for expansion, not just defend a renewal.
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce) and structured account planning practices.
  • Ability to manage a varied portfolio of accounts and prioritize effectively between retention work and growth work.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of corporate security, business continuity, or crisis management operations, whether from a vendor, in-house, or operational role.
  • Familiarity with GSOC structures and incident response is a strong asset.
  • Genuine interest in security, risk management, or crisis response is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute account growth plans that identify specific upsell and cross-sell opportunities within each customer, tied to real business needs.
  • Map samdesk's full product and module set against each customer's operations to uncover gaps the platform could fill in teams or regions not yet using it.
  • Proactively pitch expanded seats, new modules, and additional use cases as customer needs evolve, rather than waiting for the customer to ask.
  • Partner with Sales and Solutions team members to scope, price, and close expansion opportunities.
  • Maintain an accurate expansion pipeline and forecast upsell and cross-sell revenue in the CRM.
  • Use usage data and account health signals to time expansion conversations for maximum relevance and receptiveness.
  • Turn satisfied users into internal champions who advocate for wider adoption across other teams and departments.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation
  • Free access to a health benefits package for you and your family, including dental, extended health, vision care, and a health spending account.
  • Opportunity to participate in our employee stock option plan.
