The Account Manager will build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and grow the territory revenue of the Standards business, with a primary focus in the Reference Materials and Analytical Standards product lines. The role involves owning assigned commercial accounts and strategic site-level locations, representing the entire LGC Standards portfolio across all end-markets (Pharma, Biotech, Environmental, etc.) to build new and maintain existing account relationships. The Account Manager will identify and close new opportunities, involve additional LGC Standards team members as needed, and collaborate with strategic account managers for planning and customer reviews at relevant sites. They will utilize LGC’s sales tools to manage prospects, accounts, opportunities, pipeline, and forecasts accurately, develop an in-depth understanding of key LGC products and applications, and meet/exceed assigned sales targets. Active customer engagement via email, phone, and in-person visits is expected to qualify leads, convert prospects, follow up on quotations, and drive sales, while maintaining CRMs with up-to-date customer information. The role also includes increasing brand awareness by organizing and attending exhibitions, seminars, and other events, and serving as a company representative.
