About The Position

Midtronics has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an aggressive, motivated Account Manager. Supporting the needs of our expansion strategy, we are seeking an Account Manager with the initiative to develop, maintain and expand relationships with strategic OEMs, major accounts, and aftermarket retail automotive customers. The Account Manager will act as the Business owner for assigned Accounts and lead the internal account team to win new business. The Account Manager will have direct responsibility for achieving assigned booking targets and strategic objectives. The candidate must be able to Identify the correct stakeholders and initiate effective conversations to engage customers to learn about their problems and pain points that we can solve. The ideal candidate will have the ability to navigate complex customer situations and provide leadership to Midtronics internal stakeholders on what we need to do to WIN! A DAY IN THE LIFE: Operating from our Corporate Headquarters in Willowbrook, IL, this role reports to the Director- Americas Sales. Leads new business development and problem resolution paths with Auto OEM's and Major Aftermarket Automotive retail service providers in North American markets. Develops and executes strategic account plans and customer solution development through identification of customer value/problem identification/solution analysis. Identify and work with Customer Champions, Project Approvers Midtronics internal/Customer external/3rd party influencers or program facilitators. Develop and present complex customer solution proposals. Expand relationships vertically and horizontally within Accounts. Manages budget planning, pipeline building/tracking and reporting on all accounts managed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is preferred
  • 5+ years sales, product, or project management of high dollar/financial committee approval programs.
  • Strong customer engagement, long-term relationship building and management experience are critical.
  • Must be self-motivated and be a self-starter.
  • Experience opening doors, selling, and increasing market penetration within target markets.
  • Experience in customer value evaluation, ROI analysis and detailed program quote generation.
  • A passion for prospecting, collaboration, and teamwork will make the candidate successful.
  • Strong Microsoft office, network communications protocols, verbal, and written communication skills required.
  • Strong analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive service tools and equipment sales experience is ideal.
  • Existing C-level/Director-level relationships within current profile preferred.
  • Experience in Service Environment; consultative sales experience a plus.
  • Spanish Speaking is a Plus
  • Experience selling in Latin American Markets is a plus
