About The Position

This role is for an Account Manager focused on Commercial Plumbing & Drain Services. The company has established plumbers, trucks, and long-term commercial customers. The primary goal is to take care of existing customers, grow their business with the company, and acquire new clients. The territory covers Northeast Ohio and includes property management companies, building owners, facility managers, restaurants, retail, industrial, and institutional accounts. The opportunity lies in expanding services to existing clients, such as moving them from emergency services to scheduled maintenance or increasing the number of properties they use the company for. The sales focus is on commercial plumbing service and repair, drain cleaning, camera inspection, water heaters, fixture and piping work, preventative maintenance agreements, and emergency response. A key differentiator is the ability to sell Hammerhead CIPP trenchless lining as an alternative to excavation for sewer repairs, which is presented as a self-closing sale due to its advantages. The company offers training on the technical aspects of the services if needed. The day-to-day involves inspecting buildings, scoping work, pricing services, writing estimates and proposals, following up with clients, converting emergency callers to contract customers, onboarding new accounts, coordinating with dispatch, and pursuing new business. The compensation structure includes a base salary plus uncapped commission, with realistic first-year earnings of $90,000+. Commission is paid on new business and growth within managed accounts, encouraging relationship building. The company provides a fuel card, company phone, and laptop. The ideal candidate has experience in outside sales, service sales, account management, or estimating, with a proven ability to manage a territory independently. Comfort with mechanical aspects of buildings and an understanding of profit margins are important. A valid driver's license is required. Experience in commercial plumbing, drain and sewer services, mechanical or HVAC sales, facilities or building services, selling maintenance agreements, or existing relationships with relevant industry contacts are considered helpful. The company emphasizes that operational excellence ensures customer satisfaction, and trenchless technology is a unique selling proposition. The role offers direct interaction with ownership and a recurring revenue model through maintenance agreements.
