About The Position

The Account Relationship Representative (ARR) plays a critical role in supporting the outside sales team by strengthening customer relationships, driving account growth, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. This position works cross‑functionally with customers, operations, supply chain, and internal commercial teams to support inventory programs, order management, and sales initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer‑first mindset, paired with the ability to problem‑solve and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in sales, customer service, or account support
  • Experience working with ERP systems preferred
  • Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across all levels, including executive stakeholders
  • Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Comfortable presenting information to customers and small groups
  • Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, delivering prompt, professional, and solution‑oriented support.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, issues, and service requests in a timely manner while maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with outside sales representatives to support account development initiatives and help achieve or exceed monthly sales goals.
  • Support, implement, and maintain Stellar vendor‑managed inventory (VMI) programs at customer sites.
  • Operate and manage inventory systems including CribMaster, SupplyPro, AutoCrib, and hand‑held bin management tools.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring proper labeling, organization, cleanliness, and adherence to min/max product levels.
  • Analyze inventory performance, identify unprofitable items, and recommend adjustments aligned with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Enter, manage, and track customer quotes and orders in the ERP system (Prophet 21) or in coordination with Customer Service teams.
  • Research and prepare customer quotes using branch, supplier, and company resources, ensuring accuracy and timely follow‑through.
  • Identify add‑on and upsell opportunities by proactively recognizing customer needs and usage trends.
  • Communicate with vendors, Product Management, and internal specialists to fulfill customer requirements and resolve issues.
  • Act as a liaison between customers, the commercial team, and Solutions group to deliver coordinated and effective outcomes.
  • Adhere to all customer site guidelines, safety protocols, and emergency procedures while maintaining required training and certifications.
