About The Position

Cognisys is a leading cybersecurity company specializing in Penetration Testing, GRC Consulting, and Managed Security services. We are looking for a dedicated Account Manager to join our Account Management team. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with commercial curiosity and relationship-building skills who wants to develop into a successful Account Manager. You’ll work closely with experienced Account Managers and sales leaders, learning how to manage client relationships, support renewals, and identify opportunities to add value. While this role focuses on existing customers, experience in a business development, SDR, or sales support role is a strong advantage. You’ll be supported as you build confidence in client conversations and develop your understanding of cybersecurity solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, customer-focused professional to contribute to our mission of driving growth and ensuring client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years’ experience in a client-facing, sales, account support, or business development role.
  • Interest in cybersecurity, SaaS, or technology solutions (experience is a plus, not a must).
  • Confident communicator who enjoys building relationships.
  • Eager to learn, coachable, and motivated to develop commercial skills.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple accounts or tasks.
  • Able to work effectively with different teams and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support renewals
  • Identify growth opportunities
  • Maintain trusted, long-term partnerships
  • Act as a key point of contact for a portfolio of existing clients, with guidance from senior team members.
  • Support contract renewals and help ensure a positive, consistent client experience.
  • Learn how to spot upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts and work with senior colleagues to progress them.
  • Participate in regular client meetings to understand needs, priorities, and challenges.
  • Work closely with consultants, project managers, and delivery teams to ensure services are delivered smoothly.
  • Maintain accurate account records, pipeline updates, and forecasts in internal systems.
  • Build your knowledge of cybersecurity services, sales processes, and account management best practices.
