About The Position

Inspired HR is working with a client seeking an experienced and customer focused Account Manager to join Sales team. The organization is known for delivering high-quality concrete products and exceptional service across commercial, residential, and industrial projects. This position is key to maintaining and expanding relationships with our existing clients, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality service. The Account Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of client accounts within the construction and ready-mix concrete sector. The role focuses on relationship management, pricing, quoting, and coordination between operations and clients to ensure successful delivery of concrete products and services. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator who enjoys developing relationships and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on industry environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in account management, sales or customer service, preferably within the construction, concrete, or building materials industry.
  • Diploma or degree in Business, Sales, or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with CRM or tracking tools an asset
  • Highly organized, reliable, and eager to learn in a team-oriented environment
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract, and ability to travel to customer sites within the Calgary area.
  • Comfortable with being on a construction site and wearing PPE

Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management Serves as the main point of contact for assigned client accounts, ensuring strong relationships and ongoing satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular check-ins and site visits with customers to assess needs, resolve concerns, and identify opportunities for additional products or services.
  • Collaborate with dispatch, production and operations to ensure customer requirements are accurately communicated and fulfilled.
  • Prepare and update customer quotes in alignment with pricing strategies and operational capacity
  • Maintain the quote tracker to ensure all current and pending quotes are accurately reflected.
  • Provide weekly sales activity reports summarizing new quotes, pricing adjustments, and customer updates to the Order Desk Coordinator and President for review.
  • Support in developing bid submissions and proposals for new business opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities with existing client portfolios
  • Work collaboratively with Management and other Account Managers to transition prospects into long-term clients.
  • Contribute to sales strategies and enhance customer retention and company profitability.
  • Maintain accurate and organized account documentation, including pricing, contracts, and communications.
  • Provide regular updates on client activity, market conditions, and competitive insights to management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and ethical sales practices.
