About The Position

The Account Manager is responsible for traveling to client locations to create solutions, guide, and advise for the sale of Mac Papers products. This role involves maintaining existing business while actively seeking new sales leads through prospecting, business directories, and client referrals. Duties may vary depending on management. Essential Position Functions include maintaining and growing the existing account base at the assigned Mac branch, prospecting and developing new business opportunities for all Mac Paper’s products, and developing and executing a territory business plan reviewed quarterly with branch leadership. The Account Manager will identify customer needs and recommend value-added solutions, collaborate with suppliers to target and close business, and participate in branch meetings and training. They will develop customer business relationships across all levels, provide timely communication and customer service, and work effectively with customer service and operations departments. Administrative duties such as budgeting and reporting are also required. The role demands the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, work with local credit managers and GM's to open new accounts, and stay informed of market conditions and product innovations. Reviewing and analyzing reporting, including sales/gross profit margin data, and working effectively with location management, sales team, and VP of Sales are key. Developing and actively working the CRM pipeline with periodic reviews with LOB leadership is also a responsibility. Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proven track record delivering on defined sales objectives.
  • Sales experience required.
  • B2B consultative sales experience with successful track record of sales and territory growth.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, time management experience and a self-starter.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Competitive, self-confident and growth oriented.
  • Ability to utilize CRM for daily business activities, planning & pipeline progression.
  • Ability to effectively utilize order entry systems and respond to emails.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
  • Must be able to efficiently use a Windows-based computer.
  • Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English, for safe and effective performance of the job and business operations.
  • Must be able to work alone, and with a team.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in selling to businesses a plus.

Responsibilities
